Hello, and thank you so much for looking into my classes for your childbirth education desires! I have been teaching natural childbirth classes since November 2008 after I certified in The Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth. I chose to certify in this method after the birth of my second child, Olive. My husband and I chose to attend natural childbirth classes with our second child because of the very poor experience I had with my oldest child, Gavin, we knew what not being informed could lead to! We researched different methods and settled on the Bradley Method, unfortunately there were none available in the area so we traveled to Indianapolis once a week to attend our classes. We very much enjoyed the information and interaction with other couples and after a picture perfect labor and birth with our daughter, I decided that bringing the Bradley Method to Lafayette was what I wanted to do!

I have been happily teaching classes for over 2 1/2 years and have quickly found that being the only out-of-hospital teacher at the time was a great disservice to the families in our community. I have since started teaching a shorter 6-week childbirth class and also certified in a second childbirth preparation course, Dancing for Birth, so that women would have more options about their births. My main focus is on natural childbirth but really the reason behind that is to help women and families feel more empowered about their childbirth choices. I hope that each person who attends one of my classes will leave with a piece of information that will eventually help them to have a safer, gentle and more informed journey into parenthood. I wish you luck on your own path to childbirth and parenthood and can only hope to be of assistance to you!
